Title Details tab (Library Manager)

To find the information you are looking for, either click the applicable expandable link or perform a search.

note: In the Elementary interface, the Open button appears in Search Results and in Title Details page.

How the Open button appears for Follett and Non-Follett eBooks and Follett audiobooks

  • Follett eBooks An Open button appears for Follett eBooks with only one 856 tag.
  • Non-Follett eBooks Rather than an Open button, Non-Follett eBooks with more than one 856 tag display the links in Explore.
  • Follett Audiobooks A Play button appears for Follett Audiobooks.

important :
If a Convert button appears in the Title Details tab, to convert the title from AARC2 to RDA, click the Convert button.
If a Hold It! button appears in the Title Details tab, to place multiple copies of the same title on hold, click Hold It!. To perform this, you must have certain access levels. For details, see Create a library hold (Catalog).

When you select an entry in the Search Results list, its Title Details page opens. Here you can view extensive information about the book and links to related information and resources.

Note: Up to five 'You May Also Like' title recommendations appear on Title Detail pages. Suggestions include additional titles in your collection based on author, subject or series.

To find this book on the library shelves, use the call number next to the title.

To see if there are any available copies, look below the title, or click See all … (or the Copies tab at the top) for a complete list of them. If none are available, you may be able to ask the library to hold the next one for you.

If you want to add this title to a list or save it for future reference, click Add to this List to add this item to your Resource List. If you have multiple Lists, make sure you have selected the right one next to Selected List. If the title is already in your Resource List, you will see In This List instead of Add to this List. Click the link to open that Resource List.

important You can only access Titlewave® if you have the Access to Titlewave permission.

From the Title Details tab of any book in Destiny, you can jump to a list of similar titles from Titlewave, including titles from Alliance Plus or a Z‐Source.

  • To access a list of similar titles in Titlewave, next to View all similar title in Titlewave, click Find It.

If your library subscribes to TitlePeek, you will see a picture of the book cover at the top of the page. To learn more about the title, click the picture or the link underneath it. This Internet service provides additional information about the book that can help you discover what is in the book, and whether it is the right one for you.

The available information may include:

  • A large cover image
  • A descriptive profile of the book that may include:
    • Alternative titles of the book
    • The publisher's summary about the book
    • A list of any awards the book has won
    • Information about the main characters in the book
    • The book's genre
    • Topics covered in the book
    • The setting of the story
    • The series it belongs to, if any
  • The table of contents
  • A note about the author
  • Journal reviews of the book

To change the cover image, click Image. This allows you to browse to an image file. Supported image formats are .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .gif. When you find the image you want to use, click Save.

If available, the Explore! section contains links to information related to the title. These links can help you find what you want or point you to other interesting resources. The links can be for these types of information:

  • Subjects covered in the book
  • Other books written by the same author
  • Other books illustrated by the same artist
  • Books in the same series
  • The electronic version (eBook) of this title or
  • Related electronic resources.

For a list of items in your library, click Find It.

For a list of Internet resources, click WebPath Express.

If your library participates in the Accelerated Reader™ or the Scholastic Reading Counts!® program, you can find the quiz number and the number of points you can earn under Quiz Info. If your school has an Enterprise subscription to either program, you might see multiple quizzes: one from the Enterprise subscription and others that were entered separately.

If your library uses Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Books or the Lexile Framework® for Reading, you can find the Fountas and Pinnell Level and Lexile Measure or Code under Additional Info.

The Publication Info section:

  • tells you who published the book, when, and where
  • allows you to view all cataloged Edition statements (tag 250)

There is also a physical description that includes the number of pages (or, for a video, the playing time), whether there is any illustrations or not, and the size, in inches or centimeters, of the item.

It also lists the standard numbers that uniquely identify this title.

Awards

If available, the Awards section lists all the awards that this title has won, or for which it has been nominated.

For a list of other award winners or nominees in your library, click Find All.

Additional information

The Additional Info section lists all the additional information that is in the record.

You can see which publications have reviewed the book, any awards it may have received, and what ages and grade levels it is appropriate for.

To help you access this material, this section may also show the content type, media type, and/or carrier type.

To ask the library to hold a book for you

If your library allows it, you can request a hold on the book. You may not be in the library right now, or a copy may not be available for checkout.

To tell the library that you want the next available copy, click Hold It.

If a copy is available, a message tells you how long the library will hold it for you.

If a copy is not available now, the library will notify you when one comes in.
